The Staffordshire Hoard
The Staffordshire Hoard gallery utilises a number of key elements that required detailed manufacture and finishing. This included the large “conservation table” incorporating display cases and drawers, interactives and graphics. Three freestanding enclosures provide focus on different aspects of Anglo Saxon life including the scenic and detailed reconstruction of a Mead Hall.
The Hub were responsible for the co-ordination of all specialist work packages including audio visual hardware and worked closely with the designers to develop the design through to fully co-ordinated manufacturing drawings for approval. A key challenge was working in the historic building through two floors whilst ensuring no disruption to staff and the public.Photo Credit © Birmingham Museums Trust
